West Suburban Silver Conference Meet Results

                The Varsity boys ended up in 6th place, but that is the best Coach Sipple has ever felt about being 6th in the 7 team conference.  The Trojan harriers posted two All-Conference runners with Kevin Proffitt (11th, 15:29) and Ben Eaton (12th, 15:29).  The team total was 101 points which actually only put the Trojans 8 points from third place in this tightly contested race.  The Team scores were: York 42, Hinsdale Central 70, OPRF 93, Lyons 95, Glenbard West 100, and DGN 101.

                The JV Boys had some very nice performances and many season and career bests were run over the 3 mile Lyons course.  The top performers were Dan Meinhart (24, 16:56) and Tom Riordan (28, 17:05).  In addition, the Sophomore Boys ran valiantly with 2 of their teammates running on the varsity level.  However, there was only one all conference runner in Marc Mathy (11th, 16:38).

                The freshman boys brought the noise today and really challenged to win the conference.  The young harriers were lead by a front four pack of Ryan Clevenger (3rd, 10:47), Joe Carter (4th, 10:53), John McGinnis (6th, 10:54), John Diamond (9th, 10:56) and a big race by Rob Riordan (15th, 11:16) rounded out the All-Conference runners for North.  A courageous race was run by Zac Christensen (18th, 11:28) who has improved his 2 mile time by almost 1 minute this season.  This was a very exciting year for this freshman group.  A lot of promise and talent is in this group with the previous members mentioned and Dillon Murphy, Dave DelValle, Max Denk, Michael Surles, Tyler Marzullo, and Darius Daugvilla, it remains to be seen just exactly what they are capable of.  But if all goes well, and these young men set their goals high (top 3 in state their junior/senior year) it is POSSIBLE!!
