Hot Times at the St. Charles Invite

                Congratulations to the boys on their performances at the St. Charles East Invite on a hot and humid Saturday morning.  The Open Race Squad finish in 4th place with 116pts (only 9pts from 3rd), with standout races by Jacob Carter, Nicholas Lauterbach,  Ian Correl, Max Dipple and your Open Race CHAMP  - Brendan McBride!!  McBride covered the 3 mile course in 16:26.4.

                In addition, some outstanding race efforts propelled the Frosh squad to a 3rd place finish with 129pts.  Many of our sophomores improved their race efforts from 2010 by over 1 minute and some improved by over 3 minutes!!!  The Frosh top 5 had a split of 43 seconds and the top 7 had a split of 57 seconds, those splits are recipes for success.  Anytime the team can have a split under a minute good things will happen, that is the power of ONE! 

                Unfortunately, the boys varsity race was cancelled due to the hot weather.  The fire chief said that they were running out of ambulances, and as a result he shut down the meet.
