Senior Roy Llewellyn, junior Topher Ferris and senior Karan Shetty discuss the season-opening EIU Showdown at Neuqua Valley Saturday, Aug. 28. The Trojans (42) edged Plainfield North (51) and Neuqua Valley (52) for the team title.

Llewellyn (15:32.9), Shetty (15:35.2) and Ferris (15:42.2) finished 3-4-5 overall in the 3.0-mile race to lead the Trojans and earn top-10 individual finisher T-shirts. Sophomores Caden Weber (12th, 16:09.7), who was 7.4 seconds from 10th, and Ryan Eddington (18th, 16:38.3) were the team's No. 4-5 finishers.
