TRACK OPENS ACTION AT DRAKE RELAYS
Friday, April 28 2017 - Drake RelaysDES MOINES, Iowa – Eastern Illinois track and field opened the Drake Relays on Thursday evening with three individuals and one relay team in action for the Panthers.
Riley McInerney placed 14th in the seeded 5,000 meter run with the senior turning in a personal best time of 14:13.44. The time is the fifth best in school history at the 5K distance.
The top finish of the evening was turned in by the men's 4x1600 meter relay as the team posted a time of 17:00.22. The relay team was comprised of Robby Prescott, Tyler Yunk, Michael Mest and Myles Foor.
Julie James ran the women's 800 meter race placing 15th with a time of 2:12.26.
Michael Brown ran the men's 800 meter race placed 18th with a time of 1:56.18.
